STAFF PARK AND RECREATION SPECIALIST – CENTRAL VALLEY DISTRICT / CULTURAL RESOURCES / RAILTOWN 1897 STATE HISTORIC PARK
The reporting location for this position is Railtown 1897 SHP in Jamestown, CA. This position will work under the direction of Senior Park and Recreation Specialist.
The Central Valley District is hiring a Staff Park and Recreation Specialist to supervise staff and park operations at Railtown 1897 State Historic Park. Job duties include managing facility maintenance, interpretation and education, and cultural resources within the park. Incumbent will work with the Railtown 1897 cooperating association and will be responsible for managing budgets, hiring staff, working with volunteers, and managing the day-to-day operations at the park.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.
The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
This position is designated as not telework eligible.

Office environment. Daily and frequent use of personal computers and a variety of office software applications at a workstation. Sit in a normal seated position for extended periods of time.
