Job Description

Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Downey, California. This role involves supporting payroll system implementation, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing training to staff. Responsibilities: - Lead and facilitate the implementation of new Human Capital Management software to optimize payroll processes. - Collaborate with HR, IT, finance teams, and district stakeholders to identify and define system requirements. - Configure, test, and troubleshoot payroll functionalities within the newly implemented system. - Conduct data migration, validation, and reconciliation to guarantee accuracy and completeness. - Develop comprehensive training materials and deliver sessions to payroll staff and end-users. - Act as the primary liaison between the organization and software vendors to address and resolve system-related issues. - Ensure all payroll operations comply with relevant regulations, policies, and reporting standards. - Provide post-implementation support by performing system enhancements and addressing troubleshooting needs. Requirements - Proficiency in accounting software systems, including ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Dayforce. - Experience with payroll functions such as 401k and RRSP administration. - Strong knowledge of auditing and benefit administration processes. - Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external vendors. - Familiarity with data migration and system reconciliation methodologies. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication skills for delivering training and resolving issues. - Knowledge of payroll compliance regulations and reporting requirements.
