Salary: $50,000 - 50,000 per year Requirements:

• I am seeking a network engineer with 5 to 10+ years of hands-on experience in administration, along with a well-developed sense of humor. This role is designed for seasoned professionals, so a positive demeanor, adaptability to change, and strong communication skills are essential. A trustworthy mode of transportation is necessary since this position occasionally entails onsite support.
• Minimum technical requirements include:
• 5 to 10+ years of expertise in Active Directory and network topology.
• Understanding of DNS and its relationship with the internet and Active Directory.
• Proficiency with DHCP including scopes and options.
• Familiarity with Active Directory topologies for Windows Server 2012 and later, including basic tasks such as adding users and computers and handling Group Policy Objects (creation, troubleshooting, deletion).
• Knowledge of switching concepts and terms like VLAN, VLAN tags, and LAGs.
• Experience with Hyper-V 2012 and newer.
• Proficiency with Windows Operating Systems up to version 11.
• Familiarity with file technologies such as NTFS, DFS, and Windows Shares/SMB.
• Experience with network topologies including routing, switching, and firewalls.
• Understanding of Office 365 and Entra AD Connect.

Responsibilities:

• In this role, you will work closely with our team of administrators, who collectively boast over 35 years of IT industry experience, as well as our sales team with over 20 years of experience in IT sales. You will handle tasks of varied scope and complexity, including communicating effectively with management, vendors, and employees. Your ability to interpret and manage technical documentation will also be vital, along with your skills in problem-solving and data analysis.

We are a growing small company striving to adapt to the needs of the expanding managed services industry. While not mandatory, having a basic understanding of Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Azure, and virtual machines, as well as knowledge of SMTP routing related to Exchange and third-party services, would be a plus. Experience with mobile broadband solutions, WatchGuard firewalls, Ubiquiti routers, switches, and access points, as well as server virtualization (Hyper-V/Citrix/VMware) and storage hardware (SAN or NAS), is also appreciated. Previous experience with IT service companies or MSPs would be beneficial.
